Rangers coach Philippe Clement has showered Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers with praise, describing him as a nightmare for defenders.
The 50-year-old Belgian tactician was full of admiration for the Nigerian forward after his crucial stoppage-time equaliser against Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Champions League qualifier, Footballrover reports.
Dessers’ goal salvaged a 1-1 draw for Rangers, keeping their hopes alive for a place in the next round.
Rangers were staring down the barrel of a Champions League catastrophe.
The Scottish side were on the ropes against Dynamo Kyiv, down a goal with time ticking away.
But just when it looked like their European dream was about to slip off, the Super Eagles star Cyriel Dessers stepped up to the occasion.
The Nigerian forward stole the show, securing a thrilling last-minute equaliser to earn Rangers a hard-fought draw against Dynamo Kyiv in the opening round of their UEFA Champions League third qualifying tie.
With a 94th-minute rocket, the Nigerian star ensured Rangers left the Arena Lublin with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday night.

After the game, coach Clement was once again full of praise for the Nigerian’s performance against the Ukrainian champions.
While speaking to BBC, Clement explained that Dessers has contributed much more to the team compared to seven months ago.
“Maybe people have a perception of him, but I know that no defender likes to play against him. He’s only growing. That’s what we want.”
