The Gunners struggled to break down a resolute Forest defence in the first half, offering little in the final third, Footballrover reports.

However, the tide turned after the break as Mikel Arteta’s side found their rhythm.

Jesus spearheaded the charge, first rattling the post from close range before displaying incredible poise to squeeze the ball past Matt Turner for the opening goal.

The Brazilian striker was on fire, turning provider minutes later with a pinpoint pass that sent Bukayo Saka clear.

The young Englishman finished with aplomb, doubling Arsenal’s lead and seemingly putting the game to bed.

Forest refused to surrender, though. In the 89th minute, Awoniyi, introduced as a second-half substitute, showcased his strength and finishing touch to pull one back for the home side.

The Super Eagles star, returning from a six-week groin injury layoff, met a cross with power, outmuscling William Saliba and sending the City Ground into a minor moment of joy.

Awoniyi’s impact was undeniable in his limited time on the pitch.

Just 45 minutes after replacing Chris Wood, he proved his worth with a crucial goal, his third in as many matches against Arsenal and his fourth of the season.

His return adds firepower to Forest’s attack, offering a glimmer of hope in their fight for Premier League survival.
