After a remarkable 15-year career abroad, Super Falcons captain Onome Ebi has made a triumphant return to the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), joining Naija Ratels FC.
Ebi, a seasoned defender with 109 appearances for the Nigerian national team, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to Naija Ratels, Footballrover reports
Her impressive career includes stints in Sweden, Turkey, Belarus, China, and Spain, where she most recently played for Levante Las Planas.
The 40-year-old’s decision to return to the NWFL is driven by a desire to inspire young female footballers in Nigeria.
“My joining Naija Ratels is beyond playing football. It’s about inspiring young upcoming female players from the grassroots to believe that if they dare like I did, they can make history like I did,” she explained.
