Remo Stars emerged victorious in a captivating Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match against Bayelsa United on Sunday, securing a 2-1 win at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
The hosts, Bayelsa United, were eager to bounce back from their previous defeat to Doma United, while Remo Stars sought to recover from their loss to Rivers United.
However, the game took an unexpected turn when Bayelsa United’s goalkeeper was sent off early in the match, handing Remo Stars a numerical advantage.
Capitalizing on the situation, Remo Stars took the lead through Adams Olamilekan in the fourth minute, with Samuel Anakwe providing the assist.
Before Sikiri Alimi, came off the bench, to double their lead in the 78th minute.
Despite a late goal by Bayelsa United’s Ekeson Okorie, Remo Stars held on to secure their first away victory of the season.

The result sees Bayelsa United drop to 13th place, while Remo Stars climb to 4th place.
