Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze was phenomenal in his 18th start of the season for Villarreal in their La Liga Day 28 match against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Chukwueze scored a brace and also assisted in his team’s second goal in Villarreal’s hard-fought 3-2 away victory against Real Madrid.

Villarreal defender Pau Torres gave Real Madrid the lead in the 16th minute of the first half of the match through an own goal after sustained pressure from Real Madrid attackers.

Samuel Chukwueze restored parity to Villarreal in the 39th minute of the half after mesmerizing Real Madrid defenders. bring the scores to 1-1.

Vinicius Jr. made it 2-1 for Real Madrid in the 48th minute of the second half after tearing apart for four Villarreal defenders.

Villarreal missed an opportunity to draw 2-2 when Samuel Chukwueze was brought down at the edge of the 18-yard box by Real Madrid, but goalkeeper Thibaut Courteous easily saved the resultant free-kick.

José Luis Morales finally made it 2-2 for Villarreal in the 70th minute of the second half after receiving a pass from Samuel Chukwueze inside the Real Madrid 18-yard box.

Referee Javier Alberola Rojas awarded the goal to Villarreal after a routine VAR review.

In the 80th minute of the second half, Samuel Chukwueze scored a sublime third goal for Villarreal with a powerful left foot that hit the roof of the Real Madrid net unhindered to end the match 3-2 in favor of Villarreal.

The 3-2 victory leaves Villarreal in 5th position in the La Liga table with 47 points after 28 matches, while Real Madrid still maintains second position with 59 points after 28 matches.
