Despite the visiting side’s attempts to widen their lead and the home team’s persistent pursuit of an equaliser, the first half ended with a narrow advantage for Rovers.
The hosts emerged stronger after halftime and were rewarded with a penalty just seven minutes before the final whistle due to a handball in the 18-yard box.
Dakkada seized the opportunity in the 83rd minute as Aniekan Ekpe calmly converted the penalty, levelling the scoreline at 1-1.
