The General Manager of Rivers United Football Club, Chief Dr. Okey Kpalukwu, extended his congratulations to Hon. Barr. Chris Green, the two-time Rivers State Sports Commissioner, on receiving the Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State (DSSRS) award.

Chief Kpalukwu conveyed his message on behalf of the club’s management, technical crew, players, and staff.

The award was presented to Barr. Green during a Rivers State Award/Pre Inauguration Dinner held in Port Harcourt on Saturday.

He encouraged Barr. Green to perceive this award as an opportunity to further serve the state, emphasizing that Barr. Green has consistently displayed dedication as a proud citizen of Rivers State who genuinely cares for its well-being.

“The greatest reward for a work well done is more work. Let me use this occasion to urge you not to relent when called to serve Rivers State as you have always done because your love and dedication for the state knows no bounds. Congratulation for your achievement.” – he said.
