The Remo Stars 2025 Awards night delivered excitement, surprises, and well-deserved recognition as the club celebrated a historic season.

From standout goals to loyalty rewards, key players like Tochukwu Michael, Olamilekan Adebayo, and Ahmed Akinyele were at the heart of it all as the club also celebrated their first NPFL trophy, Footballrover reports.

Home-based midfielder Tochukwu Michael took home the Remo Stars Goal of the Season award after fans voted his screamer against Rangers International in Ikenne as the best of the 2024/2025 season.

Tochukwu didn’t just stop there—he also ended the season as the player with the most assists and appearances.

Meanwhile, Olamilekan Adebayo was the big winner of the night, securing multiple honours, including:

Player’s Player of the Season

Fans’ Player of the Season

Highest Goalscorer of the Season

His leadership and impact were instrumental in Remo Stars lifting the NPFL title for the first time in history.

In recognition of his commitment and brilliance, Club President Hon. Kunle Soname gifted Adebayo a brand-new GAC SUV.

Young Talent Recognised in Remo Stars 2025 Awards

Ahmed Akinyele, a rising star and Nigeria U-20 international, was named Young Player of the Season.

Despite being away on national duty, Akinyele shared a heartfelt appreciation with fans and teammates:

“Winning Young Player of the Season is an incredible honour, and I’m truly grateful. I want to thank my coach for believing in me, challenging me, and guiding me to improve every day. To my teammates—the fans, this award is a reflection of togetherness,” Ahmed Akinyele wrote on his Twitter.

On the women’s side, Bolaji Olamide won Women’s Goal of the Season for her stunning strike against Heartland and also bagged Fans’ Women’s Player of the Season, having scored the most goals.

To round off the celebrations, President Kunle Soname rewarded teams and individuals with ₦42 million in cash:

₦25 million to the Men’s Team for winning the NPFL

₦10 million to the Women’s Team for reaching the NWFL Super 6

₦5 million to Beyond Limits for winning the Gothia Cup in Sweden

₦2 million to the Supporters’ Club
