In the Middle East, Benzema will face off against his former Real teammate Cristiano Ronaldo, whose Al-Nassr team finished five points behind Al-Ittihad in the previous Saudi Pro League title race.
Nuno Espirito Santo, the ex-Wolves and Tottenham manager who joined Al-Ittihad in 2022, currently manages the club.
Saudi officials are actively pursuing renowned footballers, with reports suggesting that Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante has been approached for a potential move to Saudi Arabia after his contract expires next month.
Other high-profile players are also being targeted for lucrative transfers, including Lionel Messi, who received a staggering offer from Al-Hilal to become the world’s highest-paid player.
