Pedri and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were the star players as Barcelona come from behind to beat Galatasaray 2-1 to progress to the Europa League quarter-final.

It was 0-0 coming into the second leg and in the first half, both teams had decent chances, with De Jong missing an early attempt barely wide before the tie was broken.

Marcao gave the hosts the lead with a diving header from a corner kick. Cicaldau had a wonderful corner with a nice finishing from the skipper.

Marcao dives from behind Torres to get his head to the ball as the ball was pushed back towards the penalty spot. He was more determined, and his effort found its way into the net.

Pedri, on the other hand, leveled the scores less than 10 minutes later. He scored the equaliser by skipping past two players in the box.

Torres exchanges a one-two with De Jong on the edge of the box before playing a great reverse pass to Pedri at the near post, which takes the Galatasaray defenders off guard.

He wraps it around Boey and skips past Nelsson before calmly putting it past Pena to draw the game level.

Aubameyang also hit the crossbar with a flying header on the stroke of half-time before the former Arsenal star went on to put his name on the score sheet just four minutes into the second half.

Busquets’ low attempt was saved by Pena’s foot after Alba’s pass was pushed far to the edge of the box.

The rebound falls to Aubameyang, who sees his header saved by the goalkeeper as well.

De Jong, on the other hand, meets that and returns the nod to Aubameyang, who puts it into the empty net.

Barcelona’s name will be drawn in the quarter-final draw on Friday, with the matches taking place in early April.

They have now gone 11 games without losing in all competitions ahead of their LaLiga match against Real Madrid on Sunday.

Galatasaray’s focus is now on the league, with Gaziantep coming up next in the Super Lig.
