The forward, donning the number nine jersey always performs with class, and this season for Al Hilal, he has already contributed to two goals, continuing his stellar display form last season.
With a straightforward poacher’s effort in Al Hilal’s season opener away at Al-Khaleej, Odion Ighalo scored his first goal of the campaign in the Saudi Professional League.
The Super Eagles attacker helped Al Hilal defeat Al-Khaleej 2-0 on Thursday in the Saudi Arabian League with a goal and an assist.
At the Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium, the Nigerian international scored the game’s first goal and provided an assist for the second to help Al Hilal begin their 22/23 league season with a convincing victory.

The defending champions cruised to win with all three points after scoring twice in the first half, courtesy of goals from Odion Ighalo and Moussa Marega.
The Nigerian forward gave Al Hilal an early advantage by scoring just three minutes into the match. Moussa Marega then turned the tables 22 minutes later to give Al Hilal a double-digit advantage.

Al-Khaleej, the home team, attempted to regain control of the contest in the second half, while Al Hilal came out more intent on scoring but was only able to maintain their two goals lead until the final full time.
With the victory, Al Hilal temporarily takes the top spot in the Saudi Pro League, while Al-Khaleej stays at the bottom of the standings.
Odion Ighalo, who became the first player to score a goal under Al-new Hilal’s brand identity, will try to keep up his goal-scoring pace when Al-Hilal plays Al Feiha on Wednesday.
