Joy Ikyagh’s 57th-minute winner was enough to lift spirits in the camp of Coach Liadi Bashiru and hand the newcomers their maiden win in the Nigerian Female League this season.

The victory not only ended a run of 10 losses and one draw but also reignited belief within the squad as they aim to finish strong.

Edo Queens, the reigning champions, showed class once again, brushing aside Dannaz Ladies 3-1 in Benin City.

Anjor Mary’s brace and Chioma Moses’ goal sealed the deal, ensuring Edo’s unbeaten streak remains intact.

Bayelsa Queens avoided defeat once more after settling for a 1-1 draw with Adamawa Queens in Numan.

Heartland Queens were denied a win at home after Remo Stars Ladies fought back to earn a 1-1 draw through Bolaji Olamide’s crucial equaliser.

Naija Ratels continued their push for a top-six finish, edging FC Robo Queens 1-0 with a lone strike from Sofiat Bankole.

A thrilling 2-2 draw between Ekiti Queens and Nasarawa Amazons wrapped up the round.

Zainab Ismail scored both goals for the hosts, while Jenat Akekeromowei and Hembafan Ayatsea netted for the away side.

With only two matchdays left in the Nigerian Female League, the pressure is mounting.
