Super Eagles star Moses Simon produced a man-of-the-match performance to inspire his new team Paris FC to a hard-earned home victory over Metz in a French Ligue 1 clash on Sunday.

The winger delivered a standout display, scoring once and providing an assist in Paris’ 3-2 victory over Metz, Footballrover reports.

His influence was clear, as he became the driving force behind the club’s first win of the season.

Simon has now found the net in back-to-back games for the newcomers, following his goal in the 5-2 defeat to Marseille in their previous outing.

The Nigerian international, featuring in just his third appearance for the club, has already registered two goals this season.

Les Grenats drew first blood in the 22nd minute through Sadibou, but Kebbal equalised from the penalty spot just before halftime to restore balance.

The second half saw Kebbal strike again in the 53rd minute, finishing off a fine assist from Simon to put Paris in front.

However, The Maroons responded almost instantly, with Traore leveling the score at 2-2 just a minute later.

It was Simon who had the final say, sealing the win for Les Parisiens in the 67th minute with a composed finish.

His goal not only secured all three points but also gave The Parisians their first Ligue 1 victory after back-to-back defeats.

What the Result Means for Paris and The Maroons

The result lifts The Parisians to 15th on the Ligue 1 table with three points, providing a much-needed boost after a slow start to the season.

The Maroons, meanwhile, remain bottom without a point and will need to regroup quickly to avoid further struggles.

Paris will next face Brest after the international break, with Simon expected to remain central to their attacking play.
