Lobi Stars head coach, Eugene Agagbe, has credited God for his team’s victory over Enugu Rangers in their recent Nigerian Premier Football League match.

Lobi Stars had to battle it out on the field to secure their victory against all odds, and it wasn’t just their tactical prowess that played a role.
The coach, who spoke to the club media after the match, said that his team faced some tactical challenges but that God helped them overcome them.

Coach Eugene Agagbe admitted that his initial plan was for his team to win the match without any hindrance, but that things didn’t go quite according to plan.
The Lobi Stars coach, who attributed their success to divine intervention, firmly felt that his tactical adjustments throughout the match also helped them win.
“It wasn’t easy, but God helped us achieve our target in the match. At a stage, I had to make some necessary tactical changes, and I am happy that the players we introduced didn’t disappoint us. My initial plan was for us to earn victory without any hindrance,” he told the club’s media.
The coach, however, stressed that his team will continue to take the games as they come.
“We will continue to take the games as they come,” the coach added.
The Pride of Benue will continue their chase for the NPFL title when they lock horns with Bayelsa United in matchday seven fixture at the Samson Siasia Sports Stadium in Yenagoa on Monday.
On Sunday, Enugu Rangers will play an entertaining Derby Day encounter against their neighbours, Heartland of Owerri.
