Coach Bulus, who stepped in after Mohammed Baba Ganaru resigned early in the season, acknowledged that his team lacked focus at a crucial moment.
“It was as a result of a loss of concentration that we conceded that goal,” he admitted, adding that Bayelsa United had only one attempt on goal, which proved decisive, while his team created chances but failed to convert them.

With just five wins in 29 games, Lobi Stars’ season has been a tale of missed chances and defensive frailties.
Their latest loss marks their fourth consecutive defeat and the third straight time they’ve fallen by a narrow 1-0 margin.
Their last seven defeats also had the same identical figure, with the 3-0 loss against Enugu Rangers and Katsina United recorded as their biggest so far.
The last time they tasted victory was back in mid-December—a slim 1-0 win over Plateau United. Since then, they have only managed four draws while suffering eight defeats.
“It’s still a work in progress. After this, we know what to do to improve the team,” Tony Bulus added.
As another daunting test looms against table-toppers Remo Stars at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium this weekend, Lobi Stars must find solutions quickly.
