Nigerian midfielder Hogan Ukpa continued his goal-scoring form, finding the net in the second leg of the North Macedonia Football Cup semi-final to help FC Struga earn a 1-1 draw against Shkendija.
Coming into the match with a 2-1 advantage from the first leg away from home, Struga were looking to seal the deal in front of their fans, Footballrover reports.
Hogan Ukpa stepped up again just three days after scoring the decisive goal in a 1-0 league win over Rabotnički, firing in the opener within 20 minutes at the Gradska Plaža Stadium.
Hogan Ukpa delivers again to keep momentum alive
With that strike, the 23-year-old registered his fourth goal of the season in 31 appearances, further fueling the ongoing FC Struga cup push.
His ability to score in back-to-back matches shows the vital role he’s playing during this crucial stretch of the campaign.
Despite holding the lead for most of the game, Struga were denied victory late on after a stoppage-time own goal from Sava Radic leveled the score.
Still, their 2-1 win in the first leg means they progress with a 3-2 aggregate score.
Ukpa put in a solid shift once again, featuring for 87 minutes before being replaced by Stefan Spirovski.
FC Struga cup push strengthened by unbeaten run
This result extends FC Struga’s momentum, as they are now unbeaten in five straight matches—claiming two wins and three draws in all competitions.
Their resilience and consistency have been key to their strong display in both the league and cup.
Up next, they return to league duty with a clash against FK Sileks, where Hogan Ukpa will aim to continue his impactful run of form.
