Everton Football Club has again escaped relegation from the English Premier League after a 1-0 home victory against Bournemouth at Goodison Park, Liverpool, England.
Everton escaped relegation after ending the 2022â2023 season in 17th position with 39 points after 38 rounds of matches.
Abdoulaye Doucoure’s 57th-minute goal in the second half ensured Everton remained in the English Premier League.

This is the second time in two seasons that the club will narrowly escape relegation to the lower division.
Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi’s club, Leicester City, was not as lucky as Everton, even after securing a hard-fought 2-1 home victory against West Ham United at KingPower Stadium.
Leicester City got relegated to the Championship after finishing 18th with 34 points at the end of the season.
Harvey Barnes opened the scoring for Leicester City at home with an assist from Kelechi Iheanacho in the 34th minute of the first half of the match, while Wout Faes increased the tally to 2-0 in the 62nd minute of the second half.
Pablo Fornals reduced the tally to 1-2 for West Ham United in the 79th minute of the second half. Leeds United and Southampton are the other teams relegated to the lower division.
Leeds United ended the season in 19th place with 31 points, while Southampton ended in 20th place with 25 points.
