Toronto, however, had their answer just 11 minutes later—and it came through their most reliable finisher.

Okoronkwo coolly converted from the penalty spot in the 38th minute, sending goalkeeper Anika Toth the wrong way with a low strike into the left corner.

Okoronkwo’s influence stretched beyond the scoreboard. Her sharp runs and composure in the final third constantly unsettled Halifax’s backline before she was replaced in the 81st minute by Jade Kovacevic.

Toronto’s resilience meant they extended their unbeaten streak to four matches, building on three straight victories before this clash.

With the point, they maintain their spot at the top of the table heading into a decisive stretch of the season.

For Halifax, Cameron’s opener offered hope, but the visitors left Toronto with only a draw despite a disciplined defensive showing after the equaliser.

Toronto now faces a massive test against second-placed Ottawa Rapid on Friday—a clash that could shape the title race in the Northern Super League.

Halifax, meanwhile, return home to take on Vancouver on Saturday.

For Toronto, one thing is certain: with Esther Okoronkwo leading the line, they remain a team very difficult to beat.
