After a swift counterattack, it took the defending World champions 17 minutes to score. Tchouameni found the bottom corner from close range.

They didn’t really make many other opportunities against France, although England did have a few good ones.

Lloris blocked one of Kane’s shots before the goalkeeper had to tip a severely deflected attempt wide.

Tottenham, and England striker, Harry Kane, reduced the tally 1-2 for England through a penalty which was awarded in favour of Saka in 54th minutes of the second half.

Harry Kane missed the second penalty to level scores for England in 81 minutes of the match.

An eventful second half saw England equalize, Les Bleus get another lead, and Kane miss the second penalty of the match.
