Nigerian forward Emeka Eze is beginning to show his true colours at his new club side Corum FK after scoring again to help the team secure a hard-fought narrow win over Sariyer in their Turkish 1 Liga game on Friday evening.
With the match tied at 1-1, the 28-year-old forward delivered a decisive late winner, ensuring the home team sealed a 2-1 victory at the Çorum Şehir Stadyumu, Footballrover reports.
Late Drama as Emeka Eze Seals Victory Over Sariyer
Eze, who played the full 90 minutes, registered three shots in the game and has now taken his contributions to three in three appearances—two goals and one assist.
The Nigerian striker has now scored in back-to-back games for Çorum, proving his worth and showing fans that he arrived with serious intent.
Corum opened the scoring in the TFF First League round three clash when Pedrinho found the net just 24 minutes into the encounter.
That slim lead separated both sides at halftime and remained intact through much of the second period.
Sariyer pulled level in the 82nd minute through Malaly Dembele, but just when it looked like the game would end in a draw, Eze stepped up in the 98th minute to convert from the spot and hand Corum the winning goal.
Emeka Eze’s Impact Driving Corum’s Perfect Start
Despite recording the fewest touches (31) of any outfield player to complete 90 minutes, Eze proved his influence in other ways—winning the most duels (9) and ultimately sealing all three points for Corum.
The victory ensured Corum maintained their perfect start to the campaign, with three straight wins placing them at the top of the table.
The team will now carry this momentum into their next fixture against Keçiörengücü on the last day of August.
