Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers has set his sights on a big dream after scoring and grabbing an assist in their Scottish Cup second round victory over St. Johnstone.
Cyriel Dessers wants to bag some silverware this season after his man of the match performance that saw Rangers edge past St. Johnstone at the Hampden Park, Footballrover reports.
The former Feyenoord forward expressed his ambition to reach another cup final and win it, emphasising the importance of taking things “step by step” and “round by round.”
“It would be a dream to get to another final and win it, so we have to take it step by step and round by round, but this is a good first step,” Cyriel Dessers said.
The Super Eagles made a significant impact off the bench, leading his team to a 2-0 win on Saturday evening.
The 29-year-old Nigerian international put Philippe Clement’s side ahead just after the hour, following a tense VAR review.

Once the goal was confirmed, he assisted Ross McCausland in securing the second goal late in the match.
Rangers will discover their quarter-final opponents in Sunday’s draw, and Dessers emphasised their strong determination to keep hold of the trophy.
In a chat with Rangers TV, he mentioned that the team’s morale is high and they are pleased with their current form.
Cyriel Dessers explained that experiencing what it feels like to win the League Cup trophy last season was incredible, highlighting it as a valuable chance to secure a victory early in the season.
He acknowledged that while their recent win was only the first step, it’s actually a crucial one.

Dessers is also impressed with how the season has played out so far, noting that by working hard for the team and following the manager’s instructions, he is confident that the goals will come.
