The 21-year-old played a crucial role in snapping Kukesi’s dismal nine-game winless run, sealing a dominant 3-0 home victory over KF Valbona at the Kukes Arena on Wednesday evening, Footballrover reports.

Having endured six consecutive defeats, a draw, and another loss before this fixture, Kukesi desperately needed a turnaround.

Egbutudike stepped up when it mattered most, delivering the final blow in the 70th minute to ensure all three points remained with the hosts.

Redon Dragoshi and Rei Pecani had already given Kukesi full control of the game with two first-half goals.

Still, it was Egbutudike’s strike that put the contest beyond doubt, confirming their seventh win of the season after 26 rounds of matches.

Despite the victory, Kukesi remain in the relegation zone with just 24 points, having lost 16 games and drawn three.

They will look to build on this momentum when they face Erzeni in their next fixture.

However, Sekhukhune United failed to hold onto their lead, conceding twice in the second half.

Fezile Gcaba equalised in the 57th minute before Thabiso Kutumela’s late strike handed the visitors a disappointing loss at King Zwelithini Stadium.
