Sevilla delivered a ruthless performance on Sunday, dismantling Real Valladolid 4-0 at Estadio José Zorrilla with Chidera Ejuke playing a huge part in the success.

Among the highlights was Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke, who came off the bench to register his first La Liga assist, sealing a commanding victory for the visitors, Footballrover reports.

Introduced in the 75th minute for his 14th league appearance of the season, Chidera Ejuke wasted no time making his presence felt.

With Sevilla already in control, the Nigerian international played a key role in the final goal, setting up Dodi Lukebakio in the 84th minute.

His precise pass inside the box allowed Lukebakio to calmly slot home, putting the result beyond doubt.

Ejuke’s first La Liga assist adds another milestone to his campaign as he continues to find his footing in Spain’s top flight.

Sevilla’s win also pushes them into the top half of the table, easing any lingering relegation concerns.

Sevilla’s ruthless display

Valladolid, struggling at the bottom of the table, was under pressure from the start. Juanlu Sánchez opened the scoring just four minutes in, capitalising on a cross from Rubén Vargas.

Despite a brief spell of resistance from the hosts, Sevilla doubled their lead just before halftime when Isaac Romero rifled a long-range strike into the top-left corner.

The second half saw Sevilla continue to dominate. Juanlu netted his second of the match before Lukebakio’s late goal, assisted by Ejuke, put the finishing touch on a comprehensive victory.

Sevilla’s triumph extends their unbeaten run against Valladolid under manager García Pimienta to three matches, while Valladolid’s woes deepen as they remain rooted to the bottom with their fifth consecutive league defeat.

For Ejuke, this game marked an important step in his La Liga journey, as he looks to build on that after an injury layoff.
