Super Eagles star – Alex Iwobi won a late spot kick to help Everton grab a consolation goal in a humiliating Premier League game against Brighton at Goodison Park on Tuesday night.
Brighton stunned Everton as they earned their third straight away victory by scoring three goals in just six minutes of the second half to secure a 4-1 victory.
De Zerbi’s team scored three goals after the break, although Mitoma’s 14th-minute goal gave them the lead. He cut inside from the left before dribbling his way past Coady and fired a low shot past Pickford.
Everton came close through Iwobi and Davies to grabbing a goal for Everton, but in a couple of minutes, they were outmatched.
Ferguson assisted March shortly after directing Sarmiento’s cross into the far corner to double the lead for the visitors.
The Brighton winger scored his second goal of the campaign by curling a shot from the edge of the area into the lower corner.
Gueye made a mistake in handing the ball to Gross, who mistakenly raced into the Everton half before dazzling Pickford for the fourth goal.
Frank Lampard’s men, who were second-best throughout, received a late consolation goal from Gray, who smashed in a penalty after Sanchez fouled Alex Iwobi.

Shortly after the game, the Nigerian International has this to say;
“I don’t think confidence is the issue. We showed how we can play vs Man City. We can’t be one minute good one minute bad. We’ve got to be consistent. The way we discussed in the changing room now we all want to fix it. I’m confident we can get ourselves out of this.”
