In a high-scoring encounter between Bodrum FK and Esenler Erokspor, Super Eagles star Olarenwaju Kayode delivered a man-of-the-match performance, scoring a hat-trick to inspire his side to a hard-earned away victory in a thrilling TFF First League clash.
Kayode netted a first-half brace before completing his hat-trick in the second half to ensure the visitors claimed all three points and the bragging rights at the end of the encounter at Bodrum İlçe Stadium, Footballrover reports.
Olarenwaju Kayode’s hat-trick sparks thrilling 4–3 win for Erokspor
The 32-year-old forward scored the opening goal of the match as well as his team’s second and third goals in a dramatic 4–3 victory in the seven-goal thriller.
The Nigerian striker has now taken his goal contribution tally to 19 in 29 appearances this season, recording 16 goals and three assists.
His first goal came just ten minutes into the match when he converted a penalty to give the visitors the lead.
He doubled the advantage at the stroke of half-time before completing his hat-trick from the spot again in the 65th minute.
With the victory, Kayode and his teammates have now stretched their unbeaten run to 14 matches—10 wins and four draws—which includes eight consecutive victories.
Buoyed by that momentum, they will now turn their attention to their next fixture against Bandırmaspor on Thursday.
Bamidele Yusuf inspires Ferencváros to convincing away victory
Meanwhile in Hungary’s top flight, Nemzeti Bajnokság I (NB I), Nigerian forward Bamidele Yusuf delivered an impressive performance, scoring once and providing an assist to inspire Ferencvárosi TC to a convincing away victory over Nyíregyháza Spartacus FC.
Yusuf played a decisive role in the match, setting up the opening goal before later doubling his team’s lead as the visitors secured a 3–1 win and all three points at the Városi Stadion.
The 25-year-old is enjoying an excellent campaign in Hungary. He has now recorded two goals and two assists in the NB I this season, taking his overall tally to 16 goal contributions — 11 goals and five assists across all competitions.
Ferencváros wasted no time asserting control. Just three minutes into the match, Mohammad Abu Fani opened the scoring after being set up by Yusuf.
Five minutes later, the pair switched roles as Yusuf doubled the advantage in the 8th minute, finishing a neat assist from Abu Fani to silence the home crowd.
Nyíregyháza Spartacus pulled one back midway through the first half when Marko Kvasina struck in the 22nd minute to keep the contest alive.
The hosts pushed for an equaliser late on, but Ferencváros sealed the points in the 89th minute through Mariano Gómez, whose late goal wrapped up an entertaining away victory.
With the win, Ferencváros remain firmly at the top of the table and are now unbeaten in five matches, having recorded five consecutive victories across all competitions.
They will now turn their attention to the UEFA Europa League, where they are scheduled to face S.C. Braga on Thursday.
