Bamidele Yusuf opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a well-placed left-footed strike, giving FK Vojvodina an early advantage at the Sportsko-Rekreativni Centar Mladost.

The visitors, desperate to return to winning ways after a goalless draw with Partizan, looked poised for victory as they held onto their slim lead heading into halftime.

Despite a cagey second half, Vojvodina seemed on course to secure all three points.

However, in the fourth minute of stoppage time, Petar Gigić capitalised on a defensive lapse, tapping in a dramatic equaliser to break Vojvodina’s hearts and ensure both teams shared the spoils.

Yusuf played 71 minutes before being substituted for Ivorian midfielder Caleb Zady.

His only shot on target resulted in a goal, helping the Nigerian star maintain his spot as Vojvodina’s top scorer this season.

The 23-year-old winger, who has his eyes on a Super Eagles spot, has scored 10 league goals and provided two assists in 21 appearances.

He has also added three cup goals, bringing his tally to 13 in all competitions, as he aims for something greater.

But then, this latest result extends FK Vojvodina’s winless streak to five matches, comprising two straight defeats and three consecutive draws.

They remain in fifth place though, with 33 points, maintaining a five-point gap over their 10th-placed opponents.

Vojvodina will now turn their attention to their next fixture against IMT Novi Beograd on Saturday, aiming to end their slump and return to winning ways.
