In yet another outstanding performance, hat trick hero, Erling Haaland made history by scoring three goals past United in the Manchester derby.

With his hat-trick against Erik ten Hag team on derby day, Erling Haaland made Premier League history by becoming the first player to score a hat-trick in three straight home games.

The 22-year-old was at the heart of a dominant performance by the City side at the Etihad Stadium. He became just the third City player to score three goals in a derby match between the two clubs.

The Norwegian international added to his impressive goal tally on Sunday after already shattering the top-flight scoring charts with a scorching start to the season.

He accomplished the milestone against Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest last month, making him the only player in the history of Premier League to score hat-tricks in three straight home games.

The hat trick hero, Erling Haaland now has the same number of hat-tricks in the Premier League as Cristiano Ronaldo, who cut a despondent figure on the bench as an ineffective substitute for Erik ten Hag’s fragile team.

Meanwhile, teammate Phil Foden also joined the former Borussia Dortmund star in competing for the matchball.

The England international quickly followed Erling Haaland to become the fourth City hat-trick scorer in Manchester derby history, with two of those goals coming from assists by Haaland, giving him a total of five goals involvement.

Erling Haaland speaking on his performance for the Pep Guardiola side said;

“We always want to go forward. We always want to attack and this is what I love about the team. It’s amazing, so… there’s nothing more to say”.
