It will be recalled that just last month, the Nigerian forward played a crucial role in Al Hilal’s run to the semi-finals of the Saudi Women’s Challenge Cup, netting a hat-trick before guiding the team to the final, where they eventually fell to Al Nassr.

Now, the 31-year-old has done it again, propelling Al Hilal into the semi-finals of the Saudi Women’s Cup with her trademark goalscoring instinct and creative brilliance.

The six-time African Women’s Player of the Year has now taken her tally for the season to 13 goals across all competitions — six in the Saudi Women’s Challenge Cup, one in the Saudi Women’s Cup, and six in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.

Oshoala has also registered two assists in the league and one in the Saudi Women’s Cup, bringing her total goal contributions this season to an impressive 16.

The Nigerian international featured for 76 minutes in the encounter before being replaced by Kheira Hamraoui in the SAFF Women’s Cup clash.

The home side started off the quarter-final clash on a strong note, with Naomie Kabakaba giving them the lead less than ten minutes into the game.

However, Al Ahli failed to hold on to their slim advantage, conceding just eight minutes later as the visitors turned the game around.

Al-Bandary Mobarak dribbled past two defenders before setting up Jessica Silva, who rounded the goalkeeper and calmly slotted the ball into an empty net to restore parity.

The first half ended level, but 16 minutes into the second period, Mobarak was involved again, laying off a simple pass for Ghizlane Chebbak.

The Moroccan midfielder coolly placed the ball into the net from outside the 18-yard box to give Al Hilal a 2–1 lead.

Eight minutes later, Oshoala turned provider. She held off her marker just outside the penalty area, drove into the box, and teed up Fatimah Mansour, who was unmarked at the far post and made no mistake in firing home the third goal.

Al Hilal showed no signs of slowing down, and a swift counter-attack in the 71st minute saw Mobarak once again play in Oshoala.

Arriving at the edge of the box, the Nigerian forward squeezed the ball between three defenders to make it 4–1 for the visitors.

Kheira Hamraoui put the finishing touches on the emphatic victory with three minutes remaining, gliding past two defenders before nutmegging a third and placing the ball neatly into the net to complete the 5–1 rout.
