Nigerian hotshot forward Tolu Arokodare is on the brink of a thrilling move to Turkish Super Lig giants, Trabzonspor.
Earlier this summer, the prolific striker was heavily linked with a switch to the Black Sea Storm, Footballrover reports.
However, his substantial wage demands—a whopping $2.5 million per year—initially put the Turkish club off.
But, as the saying goes, “where there’s a will, there’s a way.”
Footballrover now understands that both sides have come to a compromise on the financial front, breathing new life into the deal.
Trabzonspor has re-established contact with Arokodare’s representatives and his current club, Genk.
The Turkish side is now pulling out all the stops to seal the deal for the former Belgian Pro League champions’ star player.
Genk, however, won’t let their prized asset go without a fight—they’re reportedly holding out for a hefty €10 million transfer fee for the ex-FC Cologne forward.
Arokodare has kicked off the new season in beautiful fashion, already finding the back of the net four times in just three league matches.

The 23-year-old Nigerian joined the Smurfs only last summer, but he’s made quite an impression, racking up 14 goals in 51 league appearances.
The clock is ticking and all eyes are now on whether Trabzonspor can clinch this high-stakes deal.
