Manager of the La Liga club, García Pimienta, confirmed that Ejuke is available for selection but hinted that his appearance might depend on the team’s needs, Footballrover reports.

The 26-year-old forward is yet to make his official appearance since making a switch to La Liga.Sevilla Starting XI: Chidera Ejuke's Place in Doubt - "He'll Play if Necessary" García Pimienta Reveals

Although he was named among the substitutes in their last outing against Las Palmas, the Nigerian international didn’t feature in the game.

But looking ahead to their second league game of the season on Saturday, Pimienta clearly stated in a press conference that he’ll play “if necessary.”

This suggests that Ejuke might not be the first choice for the starting lineup but could be brought on as a substitute if the situation demands it.

Despite admitting during his press conference on Thursday that the former CSKA Moscow star is doing very well, even in training, Pimienta noted that,

The other day he didn’t come in because of our decision considering the state of the team. Tomorrow, he will help the team.”

Pimienta said he wants his team to be well-known and to play with the same confidence and skill against any opponent, especially when playing on their home field.

While Ejuke’s availability for the Rojiblancos is a positive sign, his Super Eagles teammate Kelechi Iheanacho is strongly in doubt.

But then, García Pimienta has claimed that almost everyone would be available for the game tomorrow except for Suso, who is hurt.Sevilla Starting XI: Chidera Ejuke's Place in Doubt - "He'll Play if Necessary" García Pimienta Reveals

Recall that Iheanacho and Ejuke joined the former UEFA Europa League champions as free agents this summer.
