Super Falcons rising star Deborah Abiodun put out a remarkable performance, scoring brace to propel Pittsburgh Panthers to a resounding 6-1 victory over the Duquesne Dukes on Friday.
The game unfolded at Ambrose Urbanic Field, where Abiodun once again demonstrated her strength in the Pittsburg Panthers’ colours.
This Nigerian teenage sensation earned her place in the starting lineup after notching her maiden goal for the Pittsburg Panthers in their previous match.
The Panthers surged ahead in the first half thanks to two goals by Amanda West, securing a 2-1 lead against the Duquesne Dukes.
Deborah Abiodun further extended her team’s lead by capitalising on a Sarah Schupanksy corner-kick.

A lot of her fans and admirers will not be looking ahead to her future performances as the Pittsburg Panthers prepare to face Bowling Green at Ambrose Urbanic Field on Sunday.
It’s worth noting that Abiodun was a part of the Nigeria women’s national team, coached by Randy Waldrum, in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Despite her suspension due to a red card, she made her mark by starting in the opening game against Canada, which proved to be her sole appearance in the tournament as the team progressed to the last-16 stage.
