With a brace in an entertaining and dramatic 2-1 win at Verona, Victor Osimhen ensured that Napoli remained at the back of Serie A leaders AC Milan.
The Super Eagles forward snapped out of his mini goal drought after inspiring Napoli to a key away win in Serie A on Sunday.
Osimhen scored in each half of the encounter to assure the Luciano Spalletti’s side finished the weekend with just three points behind Milan, with Inter five points behind in third ahead of their trip to Torino on Sunday night.
The 23-year-old fired the visitors ahead 14 minutes into first half with a tremendous header, his fifth headed goal of the season.
Victor Osimhen has now scored FIVE headed goals this season.

Super Eagles coach – Augustine Eguavoen will surely need him to keep firing for their upcoming game later this month.
The game appeared to be over, but there was still time for late drama, as Marco Faraoni pulled the hosts back into the game with a powerful header six minutes later after a lovely play and a precise Adrien Tameze cross.
However, just as Igor Tudor’s squad was pushing for a tie, Ceccherini was given a marching order for a second bookable offence, allowing Napoli to finish the game.

Verona were enraged with Ceccherini’s dismissal, and captain Faraoni was also issued a red card after the final whistle, despite vehement protests aimed at referee Daniele Doveri.
