Denis Zakaria scored his first goal as Chelsea player to help the Blues secure a win over Dinamo Zagreb during their Champions League game on Wednesday night.
Chelsea dispatched unimpressive Dinamo with a well-deserved victory, and despite the narrow margin of victory, they clinched their fourth Champions League victory in a row.
Contrary to expectations, the visitors were able to take an early lead, but they were unable to keep up their momentum and lost the majority of the ball and possession in their own half.
On the other hand, despite playing a pretty strong lineup and not requiring any points to qualify as Group E champions, Chelsea was not expected to concede quite early into the encounter.
But after that, the Graham Potter’s side gradually bounced back into the game at Stamford Bridge and held onto a well-deserved one-goal advantage at the break.
Raheem Sterling equalized for the home team after Jorginho’s sharp throughball found Aubameyang in the box. Sterling was then set up by a cute backheel, and he coolly sidestepped a challenge before slotting the ball into the bottom-left corner.
Then, the forgotten man – Denis Zakaria emerges from hiding on the edge of the box to put the finishing touches on a brilliant Chelsea play with a low drive that narrowly eluded Moharrami to make it 2-1.
Zakaria scored on his Juventus debut and has now scored on his Chelsea debut. His sure do love scoring debut goals.

With only their shocking victory over the Blues in Zagreb to show for their efforts, Dinamo finishes last in Group E. Chelsea wins the group and advances to the round of 16.
The Blues were mostly in charge against the Dinamo team, although not playing at their most proficient level.
Dinamo must simply focus on their current domestic title defense because they are no longer participating in any European competitions.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will play Arsenal in a crucial London derby this weekend and then await the draw for the Champions League’s final round.
