Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi has officially joined Portuguese giants FC Porto on a season-long loan from French side OGC Nice.

The 26-year-old forward will wear jersey number 29 as he links up with his international teammate Zaidu Sanusi, Footballrover reports.

Terem Moffi Reunites With Coach Francesco Farioli at Porto

Moffi has the chance to work again with Francesco Farioli, the coach who signed him for Nice in January 2023.

Since his arrival at OGC Nice, the former Lorient star featured in 72 matches, scoring 24 goals and providing five assists across all competitions.

Porto has the option to make the transfer permanent for €8m at the end of the season, giving Moffi a potential long-term platform to shine in Portugal and the Champions League.

Speaking after the move, Moffi expressed his excitement and gratitude to Porto.

“I feel very proud to be here, to wear the colours of the club. It is really emotional for me, and I appreciate the president, coach, and fans,” he told Porto’s official webpage.

“It is a club that always strives to win trophies, to win games in the Champions League and Liga Portugal. We know how important this is to the fans and to the Porto family, so it is really good to be here,” He added.

Embracing Porto’s Winning Mentality

Moffi was part of the OGC Nice side that lost 3-0 to Porto in a Europa League clash in November 2025.

“Two months ago, we played against Porto and it wasn’t the best feeling because we lost, so this time around I’m on the other side. It’s a very good feeling,” he reflected.

Moffi said that, as a player, he loved being happy on the pitch, and when he was, nothing else mattered.

He added that those were the moments he performed at his best, enjoying scoring goals, working for the team, and connecting with the fans.

He acknowledged the high expectations but expressed confidence that, with God’s help, he would deliver the goals the fans wanted to see.

The move to Porto gives Moffi a chance to compete at a higher level and to continue his scoring form.
