Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze has registered a goal against Real Madrid once again, netting the winning strike as AC Milan edged out the European champions in a pre-season friendly in Chicago.
The Nigerian wizard has done it again, and it seems he cast a spell on the Spanish giants, delivering a dagger of a goal to secure a 1-0 victory for AC Milan in a thrilling pre-season clash, Footballrover reports.
It was a masterclass display from the Rossoneri, who outplayed the reigning European champions at Soldier Field on Thursday morning.
The battle of titans saw Chukwueze emerge as king of the pitch as he fired home the only goal of the game.
The 25-year-old Nigerian was named in the starting line-up, and he delivered a precise strike ten minutes into the second half.
He was later substituted and replaced by Hugo Cuenca 12 minutes before regulation time.
How it all went down between Milan and Madrid
Both sides battled it all out, with the first half ending goalless.
The second period of the game came alive in the 55th minute when Mattia Liberali combined well with the Super Eagles star to score the only goal of the game.
Samuel Chukwueze just seems to love scoring against Madrid.
He last scored a brace against the La Liga side in the league match played at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu back in April 2023.
Milan dominated the game and had an impressive 14 goal attempts with four shots on target, while Madrid had 13 goal attempts with two shots on goal.
Chukwueze, who’s been on fire since the start of pre-season, continued his sizzling form after a standout performance against Manchester City.
The Super Eagles star is clearly revved up for the new season and looks determined to make his mark on Serie A.
Recall that the Nigerian pacy winger had earlier grabbed two assists for Milan in their 3-2 victory over Pep Guardiola’s men last weekend.
The Nigerian international, who joined AC Milan from Spanish club Villarreal, had an uninteresting season in his first spell.
Under new boss Paulo Fonseca, he will undoubtedly hope to maintain his newfound form into the upcoming season and establish himself as a regular starter.
AC Milan have now won their two pre-season friendlies with one draw against SK Rapid.
