Prince William, Catherine and Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling have been spotted playing football in the neighbourhood where reggae superstar Bob Marley lived.
The couple flew in on the Voyager ministerial jet from Belize along side the England forward, who was born on the island.
Recall that Barbados deposed the Queen as head of state four months ago as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Jamaica as part of their Caribbean vacation.
In stormy weather on day four, the royals were greeted with a hearty official welcome to Jamaica, and the duke was saluted by a guard of honour assembled by the Jamaica Defence Force.
Subsequently, they travelled to the Trench Town Culture Yard museum, which promotes reggae music, in Trench Town, where Marely grew up.
In the courtyard where the singer trained to perform, the duke and duchess played drums with several local musicians.
Sterling revealed that England manager Gareth Southgate granted him special permission to travel ahead of the national team’s friendly against Switzerland in London this weekend.
Raheem Sterling was in attendance as part of his Foundation’s efforts to encourage social mobility for young people.
The Foundation collaborates with partners in Jamaica, Manchester, and London to provide opportunity for disadvantaged youths to escape poverty.
Aston Villa forward – Leon Bailey also linked up with Sterling to play football with young footballers in Kingston.
