When was the last time you saw a football team showered with millions and a brand-new bus? Nasarawa Amazons just did it again, as Governor Abdullahi A. Sule opened the vaults to reward their stunning season with ₦85 million and a shiny Toyota Hiace.

Governor Sule rewards Nasarawa Amazons with ₦85 million
The Nasarawa Amazons received ₦30 million directly — ₦25 million went straight to the players, while ₦5 million was given to the coaching crew, Footballrover reports.
This cash gift is part of a massive ₦85 million package the governor’s administration set aside for athletes, coaches, and supporters who made the state proud.
Not stopping at cash alone, the governor also handed the Amazons a brand-new Toyota Hiace bus.

This shows how serious his government is about sports development in Nasarawa State.
Nasarawa Amazons shine on the pitch and off it
Recall that the Lafia ladies ended the regular Women’s Premier League season in second place and secured a silver medal at the 25th Women’s President Federation Cup in Lagos.

The club also produced two Most Valuable Players — Akekoromowei Janet in the NWFL and Shobowale Olushola in the President Federation’s Cup.
This back-to-back success explains why the state governor keeps backing the team strongly.

His administration has made it clear that supporting sports teams like the Nasarawa Amazons is key to putting Nasarawa State on the map.
