Leixões Sport Club, a prominent Liga Portugal 2 side, has made an exciting addition to their team with the signing of Nigerian player Moshood Morufdeen on a permanent three-year deal.
The Portuguese club reached an agreement with Remo Stars Football Club to secure the services of the talented forward, marking a significant milestone in Morufdeen’s inspiring journey from goalkeeper to fast-rising striker.
Just three years ago, Morufdeen’s promising career began as a goalkeeper at Remo Stars Academy Beyond Limits.
However, his talents caught the attention of his Academy Coach, Olumide, who recognized his potential as a striker and made the audacious decision to convert him to an attacking role during his first TCC season.
The young Nigerian quickly adapted to his new position and displayed immense skill, bagging an impressive five goals.
The remarkable transformation continued as Morufdeen’s career progressed. His impact extended beyond his goal-scoring abilities.

In his second season in The Creative Championship (TCC), he emerged as the Golden Boot winner, a testament to his exceptional contributions to the team with a remarkable tally of 14 goals.
Last season, during his loan spell in Portugal, he made a lasting impression by scoring an outstanding 15 goals in 20 appearances for Leixões SC.
His goal-scoring prowess was evident right from the start, with an exceptional performance that included three consecutive hat-tricks for the B team, totaling 20 goals in just 15 games.

Upon signing the permanent contract with Leixões SC, the ambitious forward expressed his gratitude, stating,

Full of determination, Morufdeen emphasized his commitment to his role, saying;
