Ghana’s Quickfire Goals Sink Golden Eaglets’ U17 AFCON Hopes
By reaching the final, both Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire have secured their spots at next year’s U17 AFCON.
The Ivorians had earlier edged Burkina Faso 2-1 in the day’s opening semifinal before Ghana’s late-evening victory over Nigeria.

Despite their efforts to rally after the break, they couldn’t find a way back into the contest.
Nigeria will now meet Burkina Faso in the third-place playoff — a rematch of their goalless Group B encounter last week.
The defeat means Nigeria’s U17 team will sit out the continental championship for the second edition running, a major setback for the five-time world champions at this level.
