Super Eagles forward Anayo Iwuala delivered an impressive performance on Wednesday, scoring a goal and providing an assist in Al Arabi’s Super Cup semi-final clash.
Despite his brilliance, the Nigerian attacker ended the night in frustration as his contributions were not enough to secure a place in the final after Al Arabi failed to protect a commanding lead, Footballrover reports.

Iwuala opened the scoring and later set up his side’s second goal, but he could only watch as Al-Arabi squandered a two-goal advantage.
Al-Qadsia mounted a comeback, condemning Iwuala’s team to a painful exit from the competition with a 4-3 win.
Al-Qadsia edged a seven-goal thriller to stun Al-Arabi in a pulsating Kuwait Super Cup semi-final, decided deep into stoppage time.
The contest burst into life almost immediately, with Mobarak Al-Faneni opening the scoring inside the first minute.
Al-Arabi responded swiftly, as Iwuala struck just two minutes later. His effort was initially flagged for offside but was awarded after a VAR review.

Ten minutes into the game, Komail Al-Aswad restored Al-Arabi’s lead at 2–1, before Hassimi Fadiga extended the advantage to 3–1 barely three minutes later.
Al-Qadsia, however, remained composed and began their fightback after the break. Moaath Al Dhafiri pulled one back in the 58th minute to reduce the deficit.
Late drama ensued as Abdullah Al-Awadhi equalised with six minutes of regulation time remaining.
Then, in the 98th minute, veteran Bader Al-Mutawa kept his cool to convert a penalty, completing a dramatic comeback and sending Al-Qadsia into the final.
