Joy Omewa’s remarkable scoring run shows no sign of slowing down. The Super Falcons forward once again proved decisive for Fortuna Hjørring, netting the only goal in a hard-fought 1–0 win over Breidablik in the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup on Wednesday night in Iceland.

The 22-year-old Nigerian striker struck in the 46th minute at the Kópavogsvöllur, calmly finishing after a quick counterattack to hand her side a vital away victory, Footballrover reports.

Her sharp movement and composure in front of goal once again made the difference for Fortuna, who now carry a slim advantage into next week’s second leg.

Omewa’s consistent brilliance has been the heartbeat of Fortuna’s attack this season.

She has now scored in 12 consecutive matches, showing a mix of intelligence, timing, and confidence that few defenders can contain.

Omewa featured for 89 minutes before being replaced by Japanese midfielder Risako Watanabe, leaving the pitch to applause from her teammates and travelling fans.

The result also extended Fortuna’s unbeaten run in Europe and strengthened their push for silverware across multiple fronts.

Before the second-leg meeting with Breidablik, Omewa and her teammates will return to domestic action against Odense Q, where she’ll be aiming to extend her phenomenal streak.

Across all competitions this season, Joy Omewa has now scored 18 goals in 19 appearances — including eight in European competitions.

Her tally includes 11 goals and one assist in 12 Danish A-Liga matches, four in the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifiers, and three in the Europa Cup.

She has also found the net in three consecutive European fixtures and there is nothing stopping her at this point.
