WAFCON 2024 winner Chinwendu Ihezuo continued her impressive form with another crucial goal, this time coming off the bench to inspire Pachuca to a dominant home victory over Chorrillo FC in the Concacaf Champions Cup.

The 28-year-old forward featured for just 45 minutes but still made a huge impact, Footballrover reports.

She registered three shots and scored Pachuca’s fourth goal as the Mexican giants crushed their Panamanian visitors 6-0 at the Estadio Hidalgo.

It is now back-to-back goals for the Nigerian international after she also found the net in a dramatic 3-2 win over Tigres UANL in their last outing.

That strike made it two goals in four matches so far for the in-form forward.

Pachuca opened their Group A campaign with a ruthless display, dismantling Chorrillo in a performance that oozed confidence from start to finish on Wednesday.

The hosts started the game on a strong foot when Jocelyn Orejel pounced to break the deadlock barely 19 minutes into the game.

And just three minutes later Natalia Mauleón doubled the lead after a clever setup from the lively Myra Delgadillo.

Chorrillo were already wobbling, and things only got worse after the break. With Charlyn Corral making way for Chinwendu Ihezuo, the home side found an extra gear.

Paola García struck in the 52nd, once again with Delgadillo pulling the strings, before Ihezuo herself added a fourth midway through the half, showing instant impact.

The closing moments of the encounter turned into a show for Nina Nicosia, who sealed the rout with a quickfire brace in the 83rd and 86th minutes, wrapping up the statement win.

Pachuca’s Statement Victory Sends a Warning

From back to front, Ihezuo and her teammates looked sharp, hungry, and ruthless — sending a strong warning to the rest of Group A in the Concacaf Champions tournament.
