Super Falcons prospect Edna Imade delivered a show-stopping performance to inspire Granada’s victory over Valencia in a dramatic Liga F Round 26 clash on Saturday afternoon.

Despite recording the fewest touches (29) of any outfield player to complete the full 90 minutes, Imade’s impact was just remarkable, Footballrover reports.

She delivered a Player of the Match performance with a solid 8.3 rating, helping Granada overturn a first-half deficit to win 2-1.

Edna Imade turns the game around in style

The game initially tilted in Valencia’s favour as Ana Marcos gave the visitors the lead in the 24th minute—a goal that held sway until halftime.

But Edna Imade had other plans. Just three minutes into the second half, she won a crucial penalty after a surging run into the box.

Laura Requena stepped up and slotted home the equaliser, bringing Granada back into contention.

Imade’s influence didn’t end there. As the match approached full time, she created a moment of brilliance by setting up Alexia Fernandez in the 89th minute.

Fernandez made no mistake, converting the chance to complete Granada’s victory over Valencia in front of a jubilant home crowd.

Over the course of the match, Edna Imade registered seven shots on goal, created two goal-scoring chances, and made ten touches in the opposition box—all despite limited touches overall.

With her goal contribution tally now at 15—13 Liga F goals, one assist, and one goal in the Copa de la Reina—Imade continues to prove herself as one of the league’s most efficient forwards.

The hard-earned three points keep Granada in fifth place with 42 points, just six adrift of the top three.

It also marks back-to-back wins for the team as they prepare to take on Deportivo La Coruña next Saturday.
