After weeks of frustration, Kukesi finally found their breakthrough, and it came through Nigerian forward Christian Egbutudike.

Christian Egbutudike inspires Kukesi to a long-awaited victory
The 21-year-old played a crucial role in snapping Kukesi’s dismal nine-game winless run, sealing a dominant 3-0 home victory over KF Valbona at the Kukes Arena on Wednesday evening, Footballrover reports.
Having endured six consecutive defeats, a draw, and another loss before this fixture, Kukesi desperately needed a turnaround.
Egbutudike stepped up when it mattered most, delivering the final blow in the 70th minute to ensure all three points remained with the hosts.
Redon Dragoshi and Rei Pecani had already given Kukesi full control of the game with two first-half goals.
Still, it was Egbutudike’s strike that put the contest beyond doubt, confirming their seventh win of the season after 26 rounds of matches.
Despite the victory, Kukesi remain in the relegation zone with just 24 points, having lost 16 games and drawn three.
They will look to build on this momentum when they face Erzeni in their next fixture.
Chibuike Ohizu’s goal not enough for Sekhukhune United
Meanwhile, in the South African Premiership, Chibuike Ohizu also found the back of the net, but his efforts were in vain as Sekhukhune United fell to a 2-1 defeat away to Richards Bay FC.
Ohizu, who played 82 minutes, opened the scoring in the 8th minute, registering one of his two attempts on target.
However, Sekhukhune United failed to hold onto their lead, conceding twice in the second half.
Fezile Gcaba equalised in the 57th minute before Thabiso Kutumela’s late strike handed the visitors a disappointing loss at King Zwelithini Stadium.
The defeat leaves Sekhukhune United in fourth place with 31 points from 20 games, trailing league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns by 24 points.
Ohizu will now shift his focus to their upcoming challenge against Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup.
