The 34-year-old striker is on a hot streak, reminiscent of Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League, netting in his second consecutive game for Al Fayha, Footballrover reports

Despite his goal in the second half that brought his team back into the game after falling two goals behind in the first half, Al Fayha ultimately suffered a 3-2 loss in the Champions League match.

The last encounter between these two teams was in round three at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium back in October, where Al Ain secured a commanding 4-1 home win.

But this time, they displayed their dominance yet again and away from home.

Kodjo Laba opened the scoring for the visitors just 29 minutes into the game and barely five minutes before halftime, the Togolese international doubled his tally, giving Al Ain a 2-0 lead going into the break.

However, in the second half, Anthony Nwakaeme reduced the deficit to 2-1 just eight minutes in.

The visitors continued their scoring spree, with Soufiane Rahimi restoring their two-goal lead in the 64th minute.

Mohanad Al-Qaydhi managed to score for Al Fayha at the final whistle, but it wasn’t enough to secure a victory.

This narrow defeat places Anthony Nwakaeme and his teammates at the bottom of the AFC Champions League Group A table, with just one win and three losses in four games.

Looking ahead, Al-Fayha will face Al-Ettifaq in their next fixture on Saturday. Anthony Nwakaeme and his team will be eager to return to winning ways, having not won a game in their last five outings.

While Al-Fayha previously lost a home game to Al-Ettifaq in their cup match, they are determined to make amends during the league game in front of their home fans once again.
