Following his preseason debut for Manchester United, Tyrell Malacia, the new Red Devils addition, has offered encouraging words to the team’s supporters.

The 22-year-old came into the game to replace Luke Shaw at halftime as one of the 10 substitutions in the 4-0 win over Liverpool.

Malacia, a former defender for Feyenoord, appeared to be a perfect candidate for Erik ten Hag’s revamped system and was excited to be a part of it in their Tuesday victory.

Following the triumph, Malacia, who couldn’t hide his feelings sent a message expressing his joy.

“Happy with my first minutes for the club. Good start of the pre-season.” – He said.

The talented left-back, who is Manchester United’s first and only summer addition, will play a significant part throughout the season.

Malacia stated the following to MUTV after the game:

“It’s amazing to be here, to wear the shirt. It was difficult because the weather was very hot [but] we made it.”

When asked what he intended to bring to the Premier League side, Malacia said he wanted to bring “energy” and assists.

“I want to bring some good defence, energy, and assists to the team. It is a dream for me to play in the Premier League“.

Despite the dearth of additions, the Red Devils have a new vibe thanks to Erik ten Hag’s start of a new regime and numerous players coming back from loan.

Malacia will get more opportunities over the course of the following five exhibition games as he attempts to earn a spot for a starting position for Manchester United’s season opener against Brighton.

With a good showing against Mohamed Salah in the last minutes of Tuesday’s friendly game, he did no harm to his chances.

The new player for United gave the Liverpool attacker little room to move and should be proud of himself for keeping the game scoreless in his debut.
