FC Porto coach Francesco Farioli has hailed the all-round display of Nigerian striker Terem Moffi following the club’s 2–1 win over VfB Stuttgart.
While the forward found the back of the net in the UEFA Europa League clash on Thursday, his manager was quick to point out that his contribution went far beyond just getting on the scoresheet, Footballrover reports.

Moffi, who moved to the Portuguese side on loan from OGC Nice in January, opened the scoring in the 21st minute.
The Super Eagles star showed immense composure to slot the ball home after receiving a precise pass from Borja Sainz.
It was his second goal since joining the Dragons, but Farioli was more focused on the physical and tactical shift the striker put in throughout the evening.
“They were the last players to arrive and are trying to get into the rhythm,” Farioli noted when discussing the integration of his newer squad members.

The Italian tactician was particularly pleased with how the striker handled the defensive side of the game.
Despite still finding his feet in Portugal, the forward’s energy levels remained high, providing Porto with a focal point that disrupted the German side’s build-up play.
The coach highlighted that the striker’s impact in physical battles and his movement off the ball were just as vital as his composed finish.
“Terem had a great game. Besides the goal, he helped us in duels and was good without the ball, pressing,” Farioli said while speaking to Sport TV.
This performance serves as a massive confidence booster for the player as he looks to rediscover his clinical form.
With a league fixture against Moreirense on the horizon, the attacker is hitting his stride at the perfect time.
If he maintains this momentum, a return to the Nigeria national football team for the upcoming international window looks increasingly likely.
