Echeta Deputy maintains hot streak with decisive Iraq Stars League brace
Echeta Deputy has now scored in three consecutive matches for Zakho as he continues to prove his worth in the team’s attack.
He opened his recent scoring run with the only goal in a 1–1 draw against Al Karkh before finding the net again in a 2–2 draw with Amanat Baghdad.
Those strikes set the stage for another strong display against Al Kahrabaa, where his brace took his tally to four goals in three games and five goals for the season after 12 rounds of matches.
Zakho dominate away as Deputy seals return to winning ways
Zakho took early control of the contest, with Orinho opening the scoring barely 8 minutes into the encounter to put the visitors ahead.
Al Kahrabaa’s challenge became even tougher when Mohammed Abbas was sent off in the 26th minute, leaving the hosts a man down.
Zakho made their advantage count just before halftime, as Deputy calmly finished to make it 2–0.
The forward completed his brace late in the game, scoring in the 86th minute to seal a convincing victory.
The win ends a difficult run for Zakho, who had gone four matches without victory, recording three draws and one defeat.
The result lifts them to eighth place on the Iraq Stars League table with 19 points, as they turn their attention to their next clash against Naft Missan.
