Simy Nwankwo scores 20th league goal for Al Orobah

Although it was far from an ideal performance for the Nigerian and his team, he still managed to register his 20th league goal of the season, taking his overall goal contributions to 21 in just 18 appearances.

The 33-year-old remains the league’s third-highest scorer, trailing Diriyah FC’s leading marksman, Gaetan Laborde, by two goals.

The hosts made a bright start, with Michael firing them ahead seven minutes before half-time. That goal proved decisive heading into the break.

Cristian Guanca doubled the advantage 24 minutes after the restart, before Aseel Razzaq made it 3–0 three minutes into added time.

Simy pulled one back for the visitors from the penalty spot eight minutes later, but it was merely a consolation, as Al Ula maintained control and comfortably saw out the game.

The result means Nwankwo and his teammates have now suffered three straight defeats, extending their winless run to four matches.

They will next host Al Arabi on Sunday, hoping to climb from sixth place, where they currently sit on 44 points.

Suleiman opened the scoring in the quarter-final encounter but could only watch as his side surrendered the lead.

The game eventually ended 2–2 after 120 minutes, before Slavia fell 3–2 in the shootout at Stadion Střelnice.

The 18-year-old midfielder’s strike was his second goal of the season, taking his total goal contributions to three. His compatriots, Igoh Ogbu and Samuel Isife, both featured for the full 120 minutes.

Suleiman fired the visitors ahead just six minutes into the contest. Jan Chramosta restored parity for the hosts in the 53rd minute, before Ebrima Singhateh put Jablonec in front in the 80th minute.
