Former Bayelsa United forward Robert Mizo has taken to social media to celebrate his standout performance in the AKSA Super League in Northern Cyprus after firing a sensational hat-trick to inspire Dumlupınar TSK to victory.

The once NPFL striker needed just 23 second-half minutes to produce all three goals in a Matchday 17 clash as Dumlupınar swept aside visitors Mesarya SK with a commanding 4–0 win at the Dr Fazıl Küçük Stadium, Footballrover reports.

Dumlupınar delivered a statement performance, ruthlessly dismantling Mesarya and turning what had begun as a competitive contest into a one-sided display of authority.

The hosts set the tone early when Osman Şanverdi̇ opened the scoring in the 24th minute, finishing confidently to hand Dumlupınar control heading into the break. Mesarya attempted to hold firm, but the second half belonged to one man.

Then came Mizo.

The forward burst into life after the hour mark, striking in the 64th minute and adding another just four minutes later to put the result beyond doubt in a devastating spell.

Mesarya simply couldn’t cope with his movement or composure in front of goal.

Mizo wasn’t finished. He completed a superb hat-trick with three minutes remaining, putting the finishing touch on a dominant team performance and sealing a memorable night for Dumlupınar.

Dumlupınar Climbs the Table as Mizo Makes His Mark

The treble sees Mizo climb to fifth on the league’s top scorers chart with nine goals, now trailing leading marksman Laurys Ndong Meye by eight goals.

“First hat-trick bagged. It can only be God. Happy to help the team win and hit a hat-trick. Always hungry for more,” Mizo wrote on his X platform.

Following the result, Dumlupınar climbed to fourth place on the table with 27 points, now 16 points behind leaders China Bazaar Gençlik Gücü TSK.

Mesarya, who remain rooted to the bottom with nine points, endured another difficult week as they finished without picking up any points.

Looking ahead to next week’s fixtures, Dumlupınar will travel to Lefke, while Mesarya will host Yenicami.
